Where Did Juki Come From?

Based in the city of Tama, in southwestern Tokyo, Juki were founded in 1938 from an investment consortium of machinery manufacturers, officially incorporated in 1943, and by the end of the Second World War were developing sewing machines.

Interestingly, they originally built Singer-style sewing machines for the home, but started to thrive in 1953 following their release of the DDW-II, their first industrial sewing machine.
