Delivery Information

At A61 Woodseats Sewing Machines Ltd, we aim to provide a fast, reliable and transparent delivery service. We work with trusted courier partners including DPD and Royal Mail to ensure your order arrives safely and efficiently.

DPD Delivery Services

For DPD delivery, please select DPD at checkout.

DPD Next Working Day Delivery

  • Β£7.95 per order

  • FREE on orders over Β£60 (England, Scotland & Wales only)

Orders dispatched via DPD include full tracking information and delivery updates by email and SMS where a valid mobile number and email address have been provided.

Exclusions

Free and standard DPD delivery does not include:

  • Scottish Highlands

  • Scottish Islands

  • Northern Ireland

  • Republic of Ireland

  • Other remote UK locations where courier surcharges apply

If additional delivery charges are required, we will contact you before dispatch.


Royal Mail Delivery

Royal Mail delivery is available on selected products and smaller items.

Delivery charges vary depending on:

  • Product size and weight

  • Delivery destination

  • Service selected

If you require a delivery quotation before placing an order, please contact us.

Please note that Royal Mail delivery times are estimates and may vary during busy periods, industrial action, adverse weather conditions, public holidays, or other circumstances beyond our control.


Dispatch Times

Orders Placed Tuesday – Thursday

  • Orders placed before 1pm are usually dispatched the same day*

  • Orders placed after 1pm are normally dispatched the following working day

Orders Placed Friday - SaturdayΒ 

  • Orders placed before 1pm are usually dispatched on Friday for delivery the following Monday*
    In certain circumstances, out of our control, orders dispatched on Friday may be attempted to be delivered on Saturday/Sunday, and orders placed on a Saturday, may be attempted to be delivered on Sunday's.

  • Orders placed after 1pm will be processed for dispatch on the next working day we are open

Orders Placed Sunday – Monday whilst we are closed

  • Orders are processed and dispatched from Tuesday onwards

Weekend Deliveries

Saturday and Sunday delivery services may be available at an additional cost. Please contact us before ordering to discuss available options.

Special Order & Machine Deliveries

For products sent direct from manufacturer -Β 

Please allow approximately:

  • 2–3 working days for most Brother machine deliveries

  • 5–7 working days for Brother Luminaire, PR and VR series machines

Unless otherwise stated on the product page. On the product pages, it is usually displayed that a product is a direct stock only item.Β 

We do our very best to confirm stock on the website at all times, in circumstances where an item may have been missed and is out of stock with us, manufacturer, or is an item which cannot be sent direct from manufacturer, we shall contact you if required if there are to be any long delays.Β 

Finance Orders

Orders placed using finance may require up to 2 additional working days for approval and processing before dispatch. There is no exact timeframe for this, as every application is unique, and finance may take longer to be approved in exceptional circumstances, which unfortunately, is out of our control.


Tracking Your Order

Once your order has been dispatched, you will receive tracking information from the courier where applicable. You will also receive an email notification from us when your order is dispatched, with your updated tracking information.

Please ensure:

  • Your email address is entered correctly

  • A valid mobile telephone number is supplied

This allows the courier to provide delivery updates, estimated delivery times and any delivery notifications.


Delivery Times & Courier Delays

While we always aim to dispatch orders within the stated timescales, delivery dates are estimates only and cannot be guaranteed.

Delivery times may be affected by factors including:

  • Adverse weather conditions

  • Traffic incidents

  • Mechanical breakdowns

  • Courier network delays

  • Seasonal demand and peak trading periods

  • Industrial action

  • Public holidays

  • Incorrect or incomplete delivery information provided by the customer

We are unable to accept responsibility for delays caused by circumstances outside our reasonable control.


Damaged, Lost or Delayed Parcels

Once your order has been dispatched, it is entrusted to the chosen courier for transportation and delivery.

In the unlikely event that your parcel is delayed, damaged or lost in transit, we will assist in raising an investigation with the courier and work to resolve the matter as quickly as possible.

Any claims relating to loss or transit damage are subject to the courier's investigation procedures and timescales.

Customers must notify us promptly of:

  • Damaged parcels

  • Missing items

  • Non-delivery of orders

Please retain all packaging and provide photographs where requested, as these may be required by the courier for claims purposes.

Nothing in this policy affects your statutory rights under UK consumer law.


Delivery Address Information

Please ensure that all delivery details are entered correctly at checkout. If you have special instructions for your delivery, please leave a note on the "Cart" page, or contact us after ordering.

We cannot accept responsibility for delays, failed deliveries or additional charges resulting from:

  • Incorrect delivery addresses

  • Incomplete address information

  • Incorrect postcode details

  • Failure to collect parcels from collection points or depots

Additional delivery charges may apply where parcels are returned to us and require re-delivery.
